QUTAB MINAR
By:-prerit kumawat Qutab Minar is a soaring 73m high tower of victory.It is build in 1193by Qutab-ud-din Aibak immediately after the victory on the Delhi's lost Hindu kingdom. T he tower has five distinct storeys, each marked by a projecting balcony and taper from a 15m diameter at the base to just 2.5m at the top. The first three Stooges made of red sendstone and the fourth and fifth storeys are made by marble and sandstone . At the foot of tower is the Quwwat-ul-Islam . Mosque , the first mosque to be built in India. It was built with material abstained from demolishing 27 Hindu temples. A 7m high iron pillar stunts in the courtyard of the mosque . The origins of qutub minar are shrouded in controversy. Some believe it was erected as a tower of victory to signify the beginning of the Muslim rule in India and and other say it served as a minaret to the muezzins to call the faithful to prayer. Q...
